DURATION: 12-05-2020 to June 12- 06-2020. (4 weeks)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: I found the call for interns on Lawoctopus.  There was a specific application form which had to be filled and then CV’s had to be attached. The selection was informed through email.

FIRST DAY FORMALITIES

On the first day we had a team meeting , our mentor Adv. Rohith kamanth sir briefed the interns about the nature of work and other procedures. Since it was an online internship, the task was delegated to us through mails , we used to revert back through the same platform ,the mails generally included task per day ,deadlines and the team assigned.

MAIN TASKS:

The work was mainly research oriented and consisted of researching topics and constructing reports. We were also exposed to different fields of law , ranging to trademark ,international relations, environmental law etc. .

Some of the key tasks assigned during the internship were-

  • International Duties of South Korea and their signed conventions in relation to Chemical Accidents.
  • ODI Regulations notified by RBI.
  • Worked on Trademark Law .
  • Reliefs to Businesses provided by the Government- Capital Contribution and Marginalized Lending Facilities.

Drafting

  • Questions on Environmental Legislations in India and RTI Act, 2005 for

MOOC courses

  • Edited Articles for JELPD, Vol VII, 2020

Researching and analyzing on the varied fields of law has definitely helped me improve my researching abilities. It also has helped me improve my writing abilities as well as my networking capabilities

GOOD THINGS

Interning at CEERA gives you a lot field exposure. The way each and every member of the team strikes to work relentlessly hard is truly commendable  My then-team mentor Adv. Rohith Kamath sir is a reservoir of knowledge and experience. He  supported all of the interns in every way possible to study and get a best out of the tasks.. I will be always grateful for him for his guidance.
